The world of fashion came together last night to celebrate the annual Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala. This years exhibit took on a somber tone as it celebrated the life's work of Alexander McQueen. Not only could his looks be seen in the museum but on many of the attendees, as well. This is one of my absolute favorite events of the year because everyone takes more fashion risks since this event isn't so highly covered by the national media. I also picked up this book at my local Urban Outfitters this past week and it is a beautiful photographic history of Mcqueen's life work. Definitely worth the $30!
