Fit to be (Mc)Queen

While the rest of world continues to obsess about Kate's wedding dress choice (love Sarah Burton and Alexander McQueen). I can't help but point out the great fashions worn by the guests of this historic wedding. Here are some of my particular favorites.

Princess Beatrice of York (right) in Valentino Couture and Philip Treacy Hat
 Princess Lalla Salma of Morocco
Zara Phillips in Paul Costelloe (middle)
Victoria Beckham in her own design and Philip Treacy hat
(David didn't look so bad himself in Ralph Lauren Purple Label)

Brahmin-a cultural person from an upper class family

As a member of the Vogue Influencer Network, I was happily introduced to Brahmin, a family-owned handbag company. I instantly fell in love with my gifted Anytime Tote in Oyster. This classic tote will go on sale this Friday, April 15th and will be available in a vast array of colors--this being one of my favorite things about this company. It truly feels like you are getting a custom designed handbag because they offer so much of a color selection with every single bag.

Anytime Tote in Oyster

After checking out their website, I had already developed a long wish list. Here are a few of my top favs:

Zaino Back Pack  $295
 Lyle Crossbody Tote  $345
Selia Satchel Bag  $325
Allie Rose Crossbody  $195

Seriously media....let it go!

Envision Artopia Spring 2011

Some of my favorite looks from the Envision Fashion Show held at the Graves 601 in Minneapolis this past Saturday night.
I am madly in love with the girl in the orange skirts look. This is all I want to wear this spring--long skirts and cropped tops.
Mary O'Regan of Art of Wore looking lovely in her striped skirt and sheer blouse.
Both of these ladies look fabulous. I absolutely love those pants!
 Beautiful! Enough said!
Love the minimalism route this girl took with her look.
Can't get over how much I love this photo and how effortless this girl looks.
Someone please point me in the direction of where I can get this painting in my possession NOW!

Style Icon: Daphne Guinness

The no woman is more inspiring to me than Daphne Guinness. This woman has no fear! It's no wonder that some of best friends were Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow and has been a muse for several designers, including the one and only--Karl Lagerfeld. This woman wears haute couture like the rest of us wear a t-shirt and jeans. It's just so natural for her!

From September 16th to January 7th, the Museum at FIT will be showing an exhibition on Guinness which will include over 100 garments and accessories from her personal collection. Some of the designers to be featured are Alexander McQueen, Azzedine Alaïa, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, John Galliano for Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Rick Owens, Gareth Pugh, and Valentino. The collection will also feature some of Guinness' own designs.

Fabulous shoes that Guinness designed so that when she was tired of standing on her 6" platforms she could just rock back and be able to rest the balls of her feet. Amazing!

Here are some of my favorite Guinness editorials:
