Marni x H&M x Sophia Coppola

Oh, how I love you Consuelo Castiglioni! I am in love with all the prints in this collection and just dying to get my hands on that necklace in the commercial--so much like the Marni jewelry I have pined over in the jewelry cases at Neiman Marcus (but with a considerably smaller $$$ tag).

The collection launches March 8th in select stores. Hopefully H&M can take note from Target's recent collaboration success and realize that the Midwest loves high end designers too!

Thinking Inside the Box

 This years Avoid the Grey fashion show put on by local store, Cliche was a breath of fresh air to the Twin Cities fashion scene. By forgoing a fashion show all together, guests were instead encouraged to peer through peep holes cut into the sides of enclosed "capsules." Inside, each designer had constructed one avant-garde outfit to represent their Spring 2012 inspiration, which ranged from Alfred Hitchcock's "Birds," Russia,  the Apocalypse, and gypsies, to name a few. The obsticles these "capsules" presented lead to some truly beautiful photography. Check out some of the amazing photos taken by Stacy Schwartz from CityPages.

No Grey Areas

Looks like local Minneapolis boutique, Cliche got the 7-year itch! After hosting an annual runway show for the past seven years, the boutique is taking a break from the norm and trying something a little different. This year's focus will be on voyeurism! Each of the ten designers will have a chamber for you to gaze into and discover the inspiration behind their current collection. Intriguing! Get your tickets now because this show is for sure going to sell out.

...and I may be a little biased that this event is going to rock because one of my favorite local designer, Gina Marie Vintage is among the ten designers showing. ♥
